How to become a lifeguard?
In Hong Kong, the most basic lifesaving certificate for beginner is Bronze Medallion, which is a lifesaver qualification.
For the lifeguard qualification, a person should obtain at least Pool Lifeguard Award (for swimming pool), and Beach Lifeguard Award (for Beach).
The validity period of the lifesaving qualification is 3 years from date of issue.
HKLSS will organize Bronze Medallion training courses in summer time (mainly from July to September).
